Sandstone Sculptors Village
We firstly stop at Batubulan village which is known as a center of sandstone sculptors. It’s a common scenery that thousands of statues displayed along the street of Batubulan village.
Traditionally, stone sculptures carved from paras – soft volcanic rock were used to adorn temples and palaces but recently they are sold for export as well.
Silver and Gold Works Village
Celuk which is the center for Silver and Gold works of Bali. People of Celuk are very talented gold/silver-smith, their works are extremely meticulous and detailed…. and of course, expensive.
This is a little secret for you : if you can go off the main road into the village where the craftsmen work and live you will get much cheaper prices. Just remember, always driving a hard bargain.
Wood Carver Village
Mas village is well known as the center of wood carving. An artistic countryside full of talented wood carver.
Painter Village
Ubud village which is the center of Balinese paintings.
Museum of Painting and Arts
visit Rudana Museum where you will find a great collection from renowned painters such as Antonio Blanco, Affandi, Gunarsa, Wianta, and also others talented artists.
